  Inventive Blind Makers

A new year brings out my delight in those who push the envelope when it comes to covering windows. This post is all about those new ways of making blinds work for you.

This entire post comes from a world changing website:

  INSTRUCTABLES

This is where do-it-yourselfers and other inventive people are working out the future, one person at a time, one project at a time and posting their delightful results. Ah the world is filled with magnificent minds!

Here is a short list of projects that may interest you. Initially I searched blinds and got a wonderful page of new projects. That might be the way for you to go.

Here is the link for that.

So alternatively here is a  short list of formidable blind hacks that you can try, or get someone else to make for you!

They are all so amazing!

This one senses light ( with the appropriate software) and automatically opens and closes your blinds. YAY!

This is so excellent and so simple to make. It will make a difference to all those who suffer in the summer heat or, with a different fabric... the winter cold. Using this design with an insulated fabric would defend against extremes in temperature in summer and winter. Amazing!

This is a quick and easy way to do what we all have to do with blinds that are too long for our windows. Simple!

This is a variation on the previous blind hack. Fixing a broken slat... well who doesn't need this fix once in a while? If you have cats or dogs or even children.... broken slats can be less of a problem with this handy fix.

Anyway... there is much more where these came from ... check it out... whether it is motorization, or fixing what you might have previously thrown out....it is ....Instructables... and here is the link for blinds. Happy New Year!
